That's good stuff. I'm going to add them to my storehouse of drinking quotes (which I frequently use at cocktail parties without proper citation). Here are some for you in return:
The only time I ever said no to a drink was when I misunderstood the question. - Will Sinclair
When I was younger I made it a rule never to take a strong drink before lunch. It is now my rule never to do so before breakfast. - Winston Churchill
I never have more than one drink before dinner, but I do like that one to be large and very strong and very well made. - James Bond (aka Ian Flemming)
Martinis should always be stirred and not shaken so that the molecules lie sensuously on top of one another. - W. Somerset Maugham
That last one is good enough to justify Maugham as a novelist without any reference to the novels themselves.
Cheers!
P.S. As to your previous post about the problem about confidentiality, what you are finding for yourself as a writer is of the utmost importance. I don't really have the space here to go off on this, but I struggle under similar circumstances in a very different setting. Don't lose your courage, even if you have to rephrase it. I am convinced that the future depends on people right now who don't lose their nerve in an increasingly regulated environment.
The problem with the world is that everybody in it is three drinks behind.
That one is completely off the top of my head. I think it's Johnny Carson, and I'm not positive it's accurate as I've written it. But it's a thing of beauty regardless, if I do say so myself.

One more:

also by churchill, in response to somebody (lady astor i believe) accusing him of being drunk:
"And you are ugly, ma'am. But I shall be sober in the morning."
I thought you said you just had one drink?
I had just one all night, you never asked how many times I filled it.
